The new internal apprenticeship as a plant operator has started

The omnipresent shortage of skilled workers is also making itself felt at the Mibelle Group. Production employees with the necessary specialist qualifications are currently particularly hard to find. An internal training program is now set to close these gaps. This gives even unskilled employees completely new opportunities for their professional career!

The challenges posed by the current shortage of qualified workers are greater than ever before. A situation that the Mibelle Group has taken advantage of - because, as we all know, necessity is the mother of invention.

Human resources development and the filling division have put their heads together and developed a program that is unique in the industry:

The aim is to give motivated and committed production employees without the appropriate education the opportunity to acquire the necessary basic knowledge in an internal apprenticeship.

After around six months of preparation, the time has finally come: the first "Internal Apprenticeship for Plant Operators" module course has started in the Mibelle Group's filling division in Buchs! The organization team is pursuing a clear goal:

"With this module course, we train interested and committed employees without a relevant qualification to become competent specialists. The constant exchange with the trainers enables a great transfer of knowledge on the job, which increases efficiency and self-confidence at work."

Content of the internal apprenticeship to become a plant operator:

Participants benefit from free, in-service and practice-oriented training for around 6 months. The program includes various modules such as safety, digital fitness, plant maintenance, waste & energy or quality with the following key topics and learning objectives:

  • Efficient and correct operation and adjustment of the production system, taking into account safety and quality requirements
  • Competent response to system malfunctions
  • Gain a broader understanding of technical contexts
  • Efficient use of digital tools in the workplace
  • Acquiring basic knowledge about dealing with waste and energy

Each module is led by an internal trainer and concludes with an examination. After completing the training, participants receive an internal certificate.

Florentina Gashi has made an enthusiastic start to her internal apprenticeship:

«I am very pleased to have this opportunity to train internally as a plant operator during my official working hours. The key topics such as safety and sustainability in particular will help me to better understand the interrelationships and make the right decisions in my work independently. It's also a great door opener for my professional future!»

This apprenticeship paves the way for course participants' personal careers and may also spark their interest in obtaining a federally recognized qualification as a plant operator.
