A pioneer transforms the world of retail

Plenty of people have lofty dreams, but few have what it takes to be a pioneer. Gottlieb Duttweiler had the wonderful ability to turn every event, strength and emotion into positive energy. At the end of the day, it was his firm belief in his big idea that made his unprecedented success possible. And the pioneering spirit that set our founder apart is still deeply rooted in our philosophy.

A story shaped by wellbeing

Gottlieb Duttweiler built up his own manufacturing network by taking over production facilities. The history of the Mibelle Group begins with this launch of in-house production.

GIFA (today Mifa AG) was founded. The manufacture of detergents and cleaning agents, margarines and fat products began.
