CEO Luigi Pedrocchi taking early retirement at the end of 2021

Luigi Pedrocchi is taking early retirement at the end of 2021 after more than 15 years as CEO of the Mibelle Group. Under his direction, the Migros subsidiary has grown successfully and developed a strong position both domestically and internationally with its high-quality personal care and beauty products.

Luigi Pedrocchi (62) has headed Migros Industrie Segment V (Personal Care & Beauty, Home Care, Biochemistry & Nutrition) for more than 15 years. Prior to this, the ETH-graduate engineer held a number of posts within the company, which he joined in the year 2000. Over a period of 20 years, Luigi Pedrocchi helped guide the sustainable development of the company, transforming and expanding it into a firmly established corporate group. This enabled the highly successful launch of the Mibelle Group's export operations, leading to significant growth. Meanwhile, the further development of Mibelle Biochemistry created a new, profitable and highly innovative business unit.

“I would like to thank Luigi Pedrocchi for his enormous commitment as CEO of the Mibelle Group. Through his visionary, forward-looking style, he has made a significant contribution to the success of the Mibelle Group and the internationalisation of Migros Industrie,” says Armando Santacesaria, the Head of the Industry and Wholesale Department of the Federation of Migros Cooperatives.

“Looking back, I especially appreciated the opportunities to look far ahead into the future together with the wonderful Mibelle team, to seize and shape new things and apply them to our business,” says Luigi Pedrocchi. Now, after so many years’ dedication, he will be taking at his own request early retirement at the end of 2021. To ensure a seamless managerial handover for the Mibelle Group, the search for a successor has already begun.
