Membership EcoBeautyScore Consortium

back

The EcoBeautyScore Consortium is committed to ensuring that consumers have access to transparent and comparable information about cosmetic products, enabling them to make sustainable choices. The Mibelle Group is a new member of this consortium.

The EcoBeautyScore Consortium is developing an industry-wide rating and scoring system for the environmental performance of cosmetic products. The approach has a global reach and aims to help provide consumers with clear, transparent and comparable information on the environmental impact of cosmetic products (composition, packaging and use), based on a common science-based methodology.

Despite the many labels and claims that already exist, consumers often find it difficult to tell how sustainable a product really is. In addition, a comparison of the products is often not possible. "With our membership, we support the efforts of the EcoBeautyScore Consortium to meet the growing need of our consumers for more transparency about environmental impacts," says Claudia Regenass, Head of Sustainability at Mibelle Group.

More than 50 cosmetics and personal care companies and professional associations have now joined the EcoBeautyScore Consortium. With small and large companies and associations from 4 continents, the EcoBeautyScore Consortium is truly global and comprehensive.
