My responsibilities within the Corporate Communication & Strategic Marketing team include the website, the social media platforms and trend scouting. I monitor changes and trends in society, consumer behaviour and the economy. I’m fascinated by how mega trends become micro trends and ultimately social movements, attitudes, products and services. In my private life I spend as much time as possible outdoors with my three children, being very active and having lots of fun.

Fred Zülli Ph.D.

Head of Business Unit Biochemistry | Managing Director

Fred Zülli Ph.D.

In the Biochemistry Business Unit we research, develop and produce active biochemical ingredients for the cosmetics industry. Our inspiration for these active ingredients comes from nature, which is why “inspired by nature; realized by science” is our motto. As the Managing Director of a Business Unit, I am fascinated by the challenge of taking new scientific discoveries, from the field of medicine, for example, and rapidly converting these into innovative new active ingredients, thereby giving fresh impulse to the global cosmetics industry. I’ve been with Mibelle Biochemistry for just short of 25 years and during that time innovation has become a crucial issue and not just one to which we pay lip service. We try to anticipate consumers’ needs and wishes now in order to develop the active ingredients before they ask for them.

Jürg Burkhalter

Head of Business Unit Home Care | Managing Director

Jürg Burkhalter

I joined the Mibelle Group in 2003 and since 2012 I have been managing our Home Care business and our company in Frenkendorf. In addition, I actively support the international growth of M-Industry through my work for the International Board. We develop, manufacture and market effective detergents and cleaning products, such as the TOTAL brand, which has once again been voted Switzerland’s most trusted brand. In my opinion this is testament to the unique quality of our products to which we are committed every day. I spend my free time with my wife and our four children. We all love skiing and snowboarding. In summer I go mountain biking and train for marathons.

Dr. Luigi Pedrocchi

Group CEO

Luigi Pedrocchi

I am Group CEO of the Mibelle Group. I have been working here for more than 15 years and am still excited by our entrepreneurial freedom. This means we take the initiative when selecting and working on new topics, testing innovative technologies and business models and trying out new methods of working that are still far from being state of the art. This is exactly how I understand G. Duttweiler’s statement, “voluntary acceptance of responsibility is the price of freedom”. I believe that leading a company is like a mountain hike when, at the beginning, you only know the destination but not how to get there. You think through the route, plan and make the necessary preparations. At some point, however, you just have to set off. You have to continue to reassess the situation and take every step knowing that there could be a surprise behind any rock. That’s precisely when you need leadership.

Dr. Bernhard Irrgang

Head of Research & Development, Quality & Compliance, Personal Care

Bernhard Irrgang

I am responsible for Research and Development (R&D) and for Quality and Compliance (Q&C) in the Personal Care business unit. Since gaining my doctorate in chemistry, I have spent the last 25 years working in different areas of the cosmetics industry. I have been with the Mibelle Group for 15 years now. My work has always focussed on R&D, but as the head of a business unit I’ve also had the opportunity to gain experience in marketing and sales. In the fast-moving cosmetics market, we have to keep up with latest developments in order to stay ahead of the game. To achieve this, we also learn a great deal about developments in related areas such as food or fashion, which makes our job very exciting. To unwind from work, I like to do endurance sports (running, cycling) and enjoy learning about contemporary history and culture. I am also a volunteer for various organisations (adult education centre, charity shop).

Ulrich Eicken

Product Safety Manager

Ulrich Eicken

I have been working for the Mibelle Group for 16 years. I started as a formulation developer, then went on to work as Head of Regulatory Affairs. Over time, I started to advise customers on all technical issues and, for two years now, have also been responsible for product safety. In addition to organising and writing the safety reports, I advise R&D colleagues and our customers on the safety of raw materials. This involves using consumer magazines, public databases, committees such as the SCCS (EU scientific committee for cosmetics, etc.), as well as my own network, in order to keep up to date. I am married with two sons, who are almost grownup. I often go cycling, work in our church community and like to play music.

I’ve worked in industrial production for 30 years and have great faith in Switzerland as a manufacturing base. As an engineer I’m fascinated by the possibilities of combining modern production technologies with sustainability and ecology - and this is also one of the Migros Group‘s main strategic directions. I’ve been with the Mibelle Group as Head of Operations and Sustainability Officer for the Buchs production site for five years. Sustainability is a subject very close to my heart. My environmental footprint should be as small as possible. My favourite way to spend my free time is with my wife and two dogs in the great outdoors.

Angela Zuber

Customer Service-Team

Angela Zuber

I joined the Product Safety team in July 2015 and work 80% of standard working hours in Customer Service. I particularly like the direct customer contact, whether via the telephone hotline, emails or regular mail. Every day, we hear new stories and so continue to add to our wealth of experience. We always endeavour to meet our customers’ expectations and wishes. At the same time, I am also studying at the Höhere Fachschule für Wirtschaft and, after three years, hope to attain the qualification “advanced federal diploma of higher education in business administration”. I find it fascinating to see how the theoretical, college-based component is combined with the practical element during the course of my work. A former flight attendant, I travel as much as I can in my free time and am always looking for action and beautiful parts of the world.
